Zumtobel – Human Centric Lighting (HCL) in industrial shift work: Field study proves positive effect

Higher alertness, improved sleep efficiency and shorter time to fall asleep: Zumtobel has demonstrated in a field study in collaboration with Volvo Group Trucks that biologically effective light in industrial shift work has concrete advantages compared to standard lighting conditions. 

At the site of the production plant in Ghent, the two partners investigated how Human Centric Lighting – HCL for short – affects visual comfort, sleep and the cognitive abilities of employees.
