WEG – WEG to Supply ENGIE Brasil with five synchronous condensers rated up to 300 MVAr

The five systems will be installed at substations in Northeastern Brazil and will contribute to voltage control and the integration of wind and solar energy sources into the National Interconnected System

WEG has been selected by ENGIE Brasil Energia to supply five synchronous condenser systems, each with an operating range from -200 MVAr to +300 MVAr. The equipment will be installed in the states of Ceará and Rio Grande do Norte and will be part of the projects awarded under Lot 3 of ANEEL Transmission Auction No. 01/2026.
