Siemens – Siemens and OMV deploy high-power charging for electric trucks and cars along the Brenner route in Austria

• World’s first commercial deployment of SICHARGE FLEX charging system from Siemens goes into operation in Kufstein, Austria
• Pilot project launches with six DC charge points for trucks and cars at a strategically important location along the Brenner route
• OMV continues to expand its high-power charging infrastructure and orders SICHARGE FLEX for additional locations

Siemens eMobility and OMV took another important step in Kufstein, Austria, toward expanding the charging infrastructure for electric trucks and cars. In the presence of Provincial Councilor René Zumtobel, representatives from both companies, and key customers, the world’s first SICHARGE FLEX charging system was officially put into operation at the OMV station in Kufstein on September 29, 2026.
