Niedax – Niedax Inside!
Along picturesque landscapes and majestic mountains: In the Swiss Upper Valais, between Sierre and Brig, the traffic network is being supplemented by the still missing section of the A9 highway over a distance of around 31.8km.
An important element in the expansion of the A9 is the Raron junction. The tunnel that is being built here has a length of 1460 meters. Here Niedax EBO has supplied approx. 88km of GfK cable ladders to date, which are installed in the works duct.
The Visp tunnel (TUVI) is part of the A9 southern bypass of Visp. Here, a solution with variable head plates and profile rails was developed in the roadway area, which combines both the lighting and the cable routing in one system. In this section, approx. 18km of mesh cable tray as well as the corresponding suspension construction were delivered.

The Visp Tunnel is a section of the new Visp south bypass. - Mesh Cable Tray:
- These cable trays are lined with wire mesh to route and support small diameter cable, such as data communication cable. The mesh allows air to flow through the tray to keep cable ventilated and cool, preventing heat damage. The mesh is smooth to prevent cutting or abrasion to the cable during installation.
