LAPP – LAPP makes authorized distributors visible online

Lapp Group

Greater transparency, security and trust

Stuttgart, 3 June 2026 – LAPP, a global provider of integrated solutions in the field of cable and connection technology, is expanding its digital service portfolio and setting new standards in B2B sales. LAPP is the first B2B industrial company to provide its authorised distributors with a verifiable online seal from authorized.by. With this initiative, LAPP is creating greater transparency and security for buyers whilst strengthening trust throughout the entire supply chain.

The authorized.by platform is part of the TÜV Saarland Group and offers companies a digital, real-time seal of approval that identifies online shops as authorised trading partners of brands. The seal is integrated directly into websites, marketplaces and online shops and is available to both suppliers and customers of the distributors. With just one click on the seal, it is possible to check whether the retailer is an officially authorised partner. Verification takes place in real time and is based on a centrally maintained, tamper-proof database. In doing so, LAPP addresses a key challenge in industrial procurement: the reliable identification of verified sources of supply in globalised and digitalised markets.

“Quality, authenticity and traceability – in other words, the certainty that these are genuine LAPP products – are crucial, particularly in technically demanding applications. By using the authorized.by seal, we are creating a new form of digital security for our customers,” says Manuel Richter, Head of Digital Business Development Component Sales EMEA at LAPP.

“They can immediately see whether a supplier is part of our authorised network. This makes it much easier to select reliable suppliers and reduces risks in the procurement process.”

Stefanie Gutscher, Digital Sales Project Manager at LAPP, adds: “We are very proud to offer our distributors a service that provides their own customers with greater transparency, visibility and security in the digital environment.”

Felix Nottensteiner, CEO of authorized.by GmbH, and Manuel Richter, Head of Digital Business Development – Component Sales EMEA at LAPP, present the authorized.by online seal introduced for authorised distributors.

Identify authorised distribution partners immediately

For customers, this primarily means a significant simplification of their day-to-day work. Authorised distribution partners are immediately recognisable by the seal, and verification can be carried out quickly and easily if required. At the same time, it minimises the risk of inadvertently purchasing counterfeit products from unauthorised suppliers or dealers – risks that can have significant consequences in terms of quality and liability. The clear visibility of authorised distributors also helps to make product traceability transparent, efficient and secure.

Greater transparency for distributors

There are also benefits for LAPP’s distribution partners: they can make their authorisation visible and thus clearly position themselves in the market. In an increasingly digital competitive environment, this strengthens credibility and contributes to long-term customer loyalty. Furthermore, according to authorized.by, they benefit from improved discoverability in digital search and comparison processes, thereby generating additional visibility.

“Our aim is to make trust in the digital space measurable and visible,” explains Felix Nottensteiner, CEO of authorized.by GmbH.

“The partnership with the LAPP Group demonstrates the potential of structured and data-driven dealer management. Together, we are creating genuine added value for online trade in the B2B sector,” Mr Nottensteiner continues.

With the help of the new seal, LAPP offers its customers greater clarity, greater certainty and a sound basis for decision-making in the procurement process.

Guidance and security in the procurement process.

With the introduction of the authorized.by seal, LAPP is underlining its strategic focus on digital innovation and customer-centric services. For companies that rely on the highest quality and reliable supply chains, this solution offers tangible added value: greater guidance, greater security and a sound basis for decision-making in the procurement process.

EMR Additional Notes:

  • Supply Chain:
    • A supply chain is the end-to-end network of individuals, organizations, resources, activities, data, and technologies involved in the creation and delivery of a product or service—from raw materials to the final customer.
    • A supply chain includes not only physical flows (goods), but also information flows and financial flows across all participants.
    • At the most fundamental level, Supply Chain Management (SCM) is the integrated planning, coordination, and optimization of the flow of:
      • goods
      • information
      • and finances
      • from raw material sourcing to final delivery.
    • At its core, SCM is not just “management of flows” but the optimization of those flows across cost, service level, speed, and risk.
    • Supply Chain vs Logistics:
      • Supply Chain: entire ecosystem (end-to-end)
      • Logistics: subset focused on movement and storage of goods
