LAPP – 50 years LAPP USA

Stuttgart, 7 May 2026 – Fifty years ago, Ursula Ida and Oskar Lapp established their first foreign branch. Not in Austria or Italy, but in the United States. Personal experiences as a Russian prisoner of war and under the East German dictatorship played just as much a role as economic considerations. 

North of New York City, in the mid-1970s. Oskar Lapp is on his way to the biggest contract signing of his life so far: today he is buying the plot of land where he plans to build the U.S. branch of the LAPP Group.
