Assemblin Caverion Group – Caverion to build a new 400 kV substation for Fingrid in Ostrobothnia and expand substations in Kajaani and Muhos – contract value EUR 18 million

Finland’s transmission system operator Fingrid Oyj and Caverion have signed contracts worth approximately EUR 18 million covering the construction of a new 400-kilovolt substation in Åbacka, Ostrobothnia, as well as expansion works at the 400 kV substations in Vuolijoki (Kajaani) and Pyhäselkä (Muhos).

The substations form part of Fingrid’s nationwide investment programme aimed at strengthening Finland’s electricity transmission capacity and ensuring the reliability of the national grid in response to growing electricity demand and the increasing share of renewable energy production.
