Ahlsell – Ahlsell acquires Swennex AB
Through its subsidiary Prevex AB, Ahlsell has signed an agreement to acquire Swennex AB, a well-stocked hardware store based in Trelleborg.
The company has 10 employees and an annual turnover of approximately SEK 30 million.
Swennex is a well-established company with a strong local connection and a large customer base, to which they provide products within hydraulics, industry, tools, work wear and profile clothing, as well as equipment for work in parks, forests and gardens. Through its service workshop and machine hire, Swennex also helps its customers to make sustainable choices through reuse.
The acquisition strengthens Prevex’ and the Ahlsell Group’s market position in and around Trelleborg, while offering customers in both companies a broader product assortment and a larger range of services. Swennex’s customers also gains access to Ahlsell’s superb logistics offering.
The acquisition is expected to be completed in the beginning of January 2023.
