WEG – WEG participates in the first energy generation project using urban solid waste in Brazil

In addition to contributing to reducing environmental impact, the project will transform waste into clean energy capable of supplying around 320 thousand people

WEG, in partnership with Interunion, a company dedicated to the integration and execution of projects and the supply of technology in the sugar-energy sector, is supplying equipment for the generation of electrical energy using steam for the first waste-to-energy recovery plant in the country – a project by the Orizon Group, a reference in waste recovery, in partnership with Sabesp, with operations scheduled to begin in 2027, in Barueri.
