Siemens Energy – Siemens Energy partners with ACEREZ on NSW Renewable Energy Zone

The Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) – one of Australia’s most ambitious renewable energy projects – is targeting the delivery of 4.5 gigawatts (GW) of renewable power in Stage 1. In December 2024, ACEREZ – a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy – has awarded Siemens Energy a contract to deploy seven synchronous condensers, marking a key milestone in strengthening grid stability across the region.

Spanning 20,000 square kilometres across Dubbo, Dunedoo and Mudgee, the REZ faces the complex challenge of transmitting large volumes of renewable energy while maintaining a stable grid.
