EMR Additional Notes:

  • Electronic Support Measures (ESM) Systems:
    • Provision of military intelligence via a range of electromagnetic surveillance and collection devices, giving decision-makers timely insights to use in their electronic protection, electronic attack, or other electronic warfare systems.
    • Electronic Support Measures (ESM) are part of Electronic Warfare (EW) that involve passively collecting and analyzing electromagnetic signals to gain situational awareness and intelligence. This process helps in identifying, locating, and characterizing threats, as well as providing valuable insights for decision-making and countermeasures.

  • Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) Solutions:
    • It is referred to as any military action involving the use of electromagnetic or directed energy to control the electromagnetic spectrum.
    • Encompass all actions to exploit, attack, protect, and manage the electromagnetic environment to achieve operational goals. Key areas include electronic warfare (EW), spectrum management, and cyber electromagnetic activities (CEMA). EMSO solutions involve various technologies and strategies to control and utilize the electromagnetic spectrum effectively.
