Assemblin Caverion Group – Assemblin strengthens its power and high-voltage expertise through an acquisition in southern Sweden
Assemblin Electrical has signed an agreement to acquire APQ Power AB with eight employees and annual sales of about SEK 91 million.
APQ Power primarily offers services in power and high-voltage – a strategic growth area for Assemblin Caverion Group.
APQ Power AB is part of the ApQ El Group. ApQ Power specialises in power and high-voltage and is based in southern Sweden. Customers include public sector operators, industrial companies, as well as construction and installation companies. The acquisition entails the unit being placed within Assemblin Electrical’s Region South as a new branch office, Kraft Malmö, which will work alongside Assemblin’s other high-voltage operations around Sweden.
“We are very pleased to be able to strengthen our position in southern Sweden, particularly in power and high-voltage, which is one of our strategic growth areas. We are familiar with the operations of ApQ Power from previous collaborations at the new hospital in Malmö and are impressed with the unit’s expertise,” says Fredrik Allthin, EVP and Head of Division, Assemblin Caverion Group in Sweden.
The transaction will be closed in September.
“We are pleased to gain a strong and stable owner in Assemblin and look forward to being part of Assemblin’s acceleration in the power and high-voltage area. I am convinced that this will benefit our customers and employees alike,” says Pär-Erik Stål, Deputy CEO of ApQ Power.

EMR Additional Notes:
- Extra Low-Voltage (ELV):
- Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) is defined as a voltage of 50V or less (AC RMS), or 120V or less (ripple-free DC).
- Low-Voltage (LV):
- The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) defines Low Voltage (LV) for supply systems as voltage in the range 50–1000 V AC or 120–1500 V DC.
- Medium-Voltage (MV):
- Medium Voltage (MV) is a voltage class that typically falls between low voltage and high voltage, with a common range being from 1 kV to 35 kV. In some contexts, this range can extend higher, up to 69 kV.
- High-Voltage (HV):
- The International Electrotechnical Commission define high voltage as above 1000 V for alternating current, and at least 1500 V for direct current.
- Super High-Voltage or Extra High-Voltage (EHV):
- Super High-Voltage or Extra High-Voltage (EHV) is the voltage class used for long-distance bulk power transmission. The range for EHV systems is typically from 230 kV to 800 kV.
- Ultra High-Voltage (UHV):
- Ultra High-Voltage (UHV) is the highest voltage class used in electrical transmission, defined as a voltage of 1000 kV or greater.
