ams OSRAM – ams OSRAM expands IP enforcement actions to protect automotive LED innovations from unauthorized use

Premstätten, Austria and Munich, Germany (August 13, 2026) — ams OSRAM (SIX: AMS), technology leader in digital photonics, has filed two patent infringement lawsuits in Germany against an electronic components distributor for selling automotive LED products manufactured by Refond Optoelectronics Co., Ltd.

In these lawsuits, ams OSRAM seeks permanent injunction, damages, recall and destruction, alleging that certain automotive LED products from Refond’s Ceramic and EMC series infringe several ams OSRAM patents protecting proprietary technologies.
