ZVEI – ZVEI business cycle report August 2026

Overall new orders in the German electro and digital industry grew strongly in June 2026, too. 

They were up 13.3% from the same month in the previous year.

However, domestic and foreign bookings moved starkly in opposite directions. While domestic orders rose by near-record 60.7%, largely driven by bulk orders in the ICT sub-sector, new bookings from customers abroad were down 11.3% compared to the year before.
