NKT – NKT delivers world-first reusable 400 kV temporary cable solution for Amprion’s grid upgrade

A new high-voltage alternating current (HVAC) cable solution allows transmission system operators to maintain power flow during grid reconfigurations and upgrades. 

It also introduces a more resource-efficient alternative to conventional, temporary cable systems.

NKT has successfully deployed a world-first 400 kV HVAC temporary cable solution for German transmission system operator Amprion as part of ongoing grid upgrade works.
