Bravida – Bravida Finland supplies ventilation to Fazer’s new chocolate factory for around 2.7 million euros

BRAVIDA

Food group Fazer is building a new 34,000 square meter factory in Lahti, southern Finland, where Bravida Finland is responsible for the ventilation installations in the production facility.

The new factory is the largest single investment in Fazer’s history and strengthens Finnish food exports. Bravida’s assignment includes the installation of more than one kilometer of ventilation ducts and large air handling units, which places high demands on planning and coordination.

– We are pleased to be able to carry out a ventilation assignment of this scope together with Skanska, with whom we have previously had a good cooperation. The maximum staffing on the job site will amount to approximately 400 people as the installation phase progresses, which makes close cooperation between all parties involved crucial to the success of the project, comments Mikko Jokitöyrä, Department Manager for Ventilation Contracts in the Helsinki Region at Bravida Finland.

Juha Ruokolainen, Project Manager at Skanska, comments:

– The project is demanding and previous experience of working together plays an important role. Flexibility and the ability to cooperate make it possible to achieve the project’s goals together.

Skanska is the main contractor for the project. Bravida’s work on the project has begun and the majority of the installations are planned to be completed in 2026.
