Niedax – Abnex expands location in Buffalo
The expansion of the production site strengthens the supply chain for cable management systems in North America.
Abnex has begun expanding Niedax MonoSystems’ existing production facility in Buffalo, New York, this year. The $15 million investment will create additional administrative and manufacturing space, as well as new production capabilities for cable management systems.
Abnex is a joint venture between the Niedax Group and ABB. It combines the expertise of two leading companies in the electrical industry to offer cable management systems that meet the standards for safety, reliability, and performance applicable in the North American markets.
More space for production and administration
The expansion will add over 4,000 square meters of space for administration and production. Upon completion, the site will have more than 9,000 square meters of production space. The main building is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.
With this expansion, Abnex is strengthening its production presence in Western New York and creating additional capacity for locally manufactured cable management systems. Modern production and safety equipment will support reliable manufacturing and meet high standards of quality, performance, and safety.
Strengthening the region
The Buffalo location plays a vital role in supplying the North American market. This expansion brings Abnex closer to key customers and project partners, further enhancing its capabilities for customer-centric delivery.
Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz also attended the groundbreaking ceremony. His support underscores the project’s importance to Buffalo and the South Buffalo region. Cornelius I. Steele, President & CEO of Abnex, described the expansion at the event as a significant step for Abnex, Niedax MonoSystems, and the local community.
With the expansion of its Buffalo site, Abnex is sending another signal for local growth, additional manufacturing capacity and a strong presence in North America.
