ZVEI – German electrical exports also showed growth at the start of the year thanks to the domestic market

The German electrical and digital industries also recorded export growth at the start of 2026: In January, aggregated industry exports reached a value of €20.4 billion, representing an increase of 4.1 percent compared to the previous year. 

Imports of electrical and electronic goods, on the other hand, barely increased in January. At €21.6 billion, they were only 0.5 percent higher than a year earlier.
