ZVEI – Electrical and digital industries have had a stable start to the year

Order growth in the German electrical and digital industries continued at the start of the current year. 

In January 2026, the sector recorded a total of 3.2 percent more new orders than a year earlier. Domestic orders increased by 3.0 percent compared to the previous year, while foreign customers increased their orders by 3.5 percent.

Orders from the eurozone rose by 12.5 percent in January, while those from third countries declined slightly by 0.9 percent.
