ZVEI – Alliance of associations demands: Maintain priority for underground cables

• U-turn on overhead line construction risks citizen protests and further delays in network expansion
• Underground cables with technical advantages: less maintenance and high transmission capacity 

The ZVEI, together with the Plastics Pipe Association (KRV) and the GSTT and RSV associations, advocates maintaining the priority for underground cables in the expansion of the high-voltage grid and not lightly watering this down in favor of overhead lines without checking the acceptance of the population.
